Learn healthy vocal and performance techniques. Play your favorite songs on ukulele or guitar, even if you're new or haven’t touched an instrument in years. Unlock your creativity to write your own original songs. Sing, laugh, share. Meet new friends and collaborators as you watch stage fright vanish and barriers fall!

Here’s an outline of what will be covered in our time together:

Learn a variety of healthy vocal techniques designed to grow your vocal range, accessing and seamlessly transitioning through chest, mix, and head voices
Improve pitch, tone, placement, vocal dynamics, ear training, and develop your unique identity and authentic self expression
Learn techniques to anchor and support your breath
Learn to sing a variety of popular songs
Set clear intentions and create structure to attain your creative goals moving forward
Silence the inner critic
Listen to a variety of inspiring literary selections penned by celebrated authors and accomplished songwriters - read aloud as prompts to ignite your own creative process through a series of free writing exercises
Learn to write more engaging lyrics with an emphasis on imagery, metaphor, story telling and honesty
Mine your solo free-writing for kernels and raw gems to spark your own original works
Break into pairs for a guided collaborative songwriting experience that will yield a completed new song
Perform your new compositions for the group
Build confidence as performers
Learn to play basic chords, strum and fingerpick, and sing a variety of classic and popular songs on ukulele and guitar
Sing Karaoke!
Become better communicators by giving and receiving constructive feedback
Develop and build connections with other creatives
